한국융합기술진흥원은 새로운 미래의 창조를 주도하는 융합기술(Convergence Technology)관련 전문가 및 기업 네트워크를 구축하여 융합기술 관련 산업의 발전과 국가경쟁력 강화를 위해 컨설팅과 교육 및 훈련을 제공하고 정보시대를 넘어 융합시대를 맞아 창조와 혁신의 거대한 흐름에서 그 핵심 기술을 연구하고 관련 기업과 전문가들의 네트워크를 구축하여 상호작용을 통해 융합역량을 강화하고, 관련 기업의 성장을 도모하고자 노력하고 있습니다.

우리나라는 융합의 문화가 풍부하고, 융합역량과 응합기술이 뛰어납니다. 이미 잘 발달된 인터넷 인프라 기술과 더 나아가 5G, 스마트 시티 등 인프라와 결합, 그리고 스마트폰, TV, 냉장고, 에어컨, 가전 등 기존의 경쟁력 있는 하드웨어 산업과 인공지능 기술이 결합하도록 응용 기술의 개척이 필요하며, 자율주행자동차, 문화 예술 엔터테인먼트 분야에도 적용하여 새로운 서비스와 사업을 만들어 인공지능의 가치를 높이고 사회, 정치, 경제 발전에 기여할 것입니다. 바야흐로 융합시대의 세계의 중심국가가 될 것이라 확신합니다.

Central country in the age of convergence

The Korea Convergence Technology Agency provides consulting, education, and training for the development of convergence technology-related industries and national competitiveness by establishing a network of experts and companies related to convergence technology that leads the creation of a new future. In addition, in the era of convergence beyond the information age, we are researching the core technology in the huge flow of creation and innovation, building a network of related companies and experts, strengthening convergence capabilities through interaction, and striving to promote the growth of related companies.

Korea is rich in the culture of convergence and has excellent convergence capabilities and convergence technology. It is necessary to develop application technology so that the already well-developed Internet infrastructure technology and the existing competitive hardware industry such as combination with infrastructure like 5G and smart city, and smartphones, TVs, refrigerators, air conditioners, home appliances and artificial intelligence technology can be combined. It will also be applied to autonomous vehicles and cultural arts and entertainment fields to create new services and businesses to increase the value of artificial intelligence so that it can contribute to social, political, and economic development. I am sure that it will become the center of the world in the age of convergence.
