성광메디칼은 전문의약품 부분에서 지속적인 약가인하로 수익성이 악화됨에 따라 수년전부터 수익성을 확보하기 위해 부외품 유통분야에 진출, 안정적인 경영기반을 구축해 나가고 있다.
이 업체 이홍구 대표는 소독약 등 부외품을 주력으로 하는 성광제약에서 10여년 간 몸담으면서 쌓은 노하우를 적극 발휘해 성광메디칼을 부외품 유통 및 제조업체로 토대를 다져가고 있다.
성광메디칼은 4년 전 전문약 유통에서 완전히 손을 떼고 현재는 부외품 유통 및 제조, 한방의약품 유통만 하고 있다.

Hong-gu Lee, CEO of this company, is laying the foundation for Sungkwang Medical as a distributor and manufacturer of quasi-products by actively demonstrating the know-how accumulated over the past 10 years at Sungkwang Pharmaceutical, which focuses on quasi-products such as disinfectants.
Sungkwang Medical completely quit the distribution of specialty drugs 4 years ago, and now only distributes and manufactures quasi-drugs and distributes oriental medicines.
