영국에서 경제학박사 학위 취득 후 한국은행 동남아중앙은행 근무한 후 고려대 경제학 교수를 거쳐 건국대 금융IT학과 특임교수 겸 한국경제연구원 초빙연구위원으로 있으며 한국국제금융학회 회장과 현재 아시아금융학회장 역임하고 한국금융ICT융합학화장을 맡고 있다 주로 한국경제 국제금융 통화금융 동아시아금융협력 금융IT를 연구하고 있다.

After obtaining a Ph.D. in Economics in the UK, he worked for the Bank of Korea and Southeast Asian Central Bank. After that, he worked as a professor of economics at Korea University, a special professor at the Department of Finance IT at Konkuk University, and a visiting researcher at the Korea Economic Research Institute. He is in charge of the academic department. He is mainly researching the Korean economy, international finance, currency finance, East Asian financial cooperation, and financial IT.
