Mayor of Chungju City

Cho Gil-hyeong is the mayor of Chungju, a city located in the Chungcheongbuk-do province of South Korea. He worked as a police officer and served as the chief of the Chungnam Provincial Police Agency, the Gangwon Provincial Police Agency, and the Central Police Academy. In 2014, he ran for the position of mayor of Chungju as a candidate of the Saenuri Party and was elected. In 2018, he was elected again as a candidate of the Liberty Korea Party. Mayor Cho has pledged to build a vibrant economic city in Chungju in the new year
