Shin Hyeon-kuk is the 9th mayor of Mungyeong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea. Mayor Shin served as the 4th and 5th term mayor and returned as the 9th term mayor after 11 years. He has various public service experiences such as the head of the Economic Policy Office, Deputy Minister, and Director of the Gangwon Research Institute, and is a member of the Democratic Party. Mayor Shin is pursuing the following policies for the development of Mungyeong-si : Attracting universities and businesses, Developing sports and athletic city, Completing a cultural and tourist city, Achieving the best agriculture and rural areas, Building an education and welfare city

Mayor Shin is working on various projects to meet the expectations of Mungyeong citizens.
