현재 태재대학교 총장이며, 대통령직속 국가인공지능위원회의 부위원장을 맡고 있는 대한민국의 교육자이자 행정가다. 그는 고려대학교 제19대 총장(2015–2019)을 역임하며 교육 혁신과 글로벌 리더십을 강조한 학자로 널리 알려져있다. 재임 중 대학의 국제 경쟁력을 강화하고, 창의성과 융합 교육을 강조하는 다양한 프로그램을 도입하였다.

염재호 총장은 고려대학교에서 행정학을 전공하였으며, 미국 스탠포드대학교에서 박사학위를 받았다. 또한 여러 국제 기구 및 대학에서 연구와 자문 활동을 하며 글로벌 학계에서 중요한 역할을 해왔다. 그의 전문 분야는 공공 행정, 정책 연구, 그리고 4차 산업혁명에 관련된 기술 혁신이다.

Yom Jae-ho is currently the President of Taejae University and the Vice Chair of the Presidential National AI Committee in South Korea. He is an educator and administrator, best known for serving as the 19th President of Korea University (2015–2019), where he emphasized educational innovation and global leadership. During his tenure, he strengthened the university's international competitiveness and introduced various programs that focused on creativity and interdisciplinary education.

Yom studied public administration at Korea University and earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University. He has also played a significant role in the global academic community through research and advisory activities with various international organizations and universities. His areas of expertise include public administration, policy research, and technological innovation related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
