부회장 임원사

최재웅 변호사는 법무법인 성현의 대표변호사이자 사단법인 한국법학회 이사장이다. 고려대학교 법학과를 졸업하고 서울대학교, KAIST 등 다수의 최고위 과정을 수료하며 학문적 기반을 다졌다.

2016년 설립된 법무법인 성현을 종합 로펌으로 성장시켜, 민·형사 사건뿐만 아니라 재개발·재건축, 기업 인수·합병(M&A), 금융·증권 분야의 다양한 사건을 성공적으로 수행해왔다. 또한 문화체육관광부, 중앙선거관리위원회, 지방자치단체 및 공공기관의 자문변호사로 활동하며 법률정책과 행정 영역에서도 폭넓은 경험을 쌓았다.

현재는 한국법학회 이사장으로서 학문적 연구와 학술 교류를 통해 국내 법학 발전을 이끌고 있으며, 「법학연구」 학술지를 통해 사회적·시대적 법적 이슈를 발굴·연구하여 국가 정책에 기여하고 있다.

Choi Jae-woong is the Managing Partner of Sunghyun Law Firm and the Chairman of the Korean Legal Studies Association. He graduated from Korea University’s School of Law and completed advanced executive programs at Seoul National University, KAIST, and other leading institutions.

Since founding Sunghyun Law Firm in 2016, he has led its growth into a comprehensive law practice, handling civil and criminal cases as well as complex matters involving redevelopment, corporate mergers and acquisitions, finance, and securities. He also serves as a legal advisor to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the National Election Commission, local governments, and public corporations, contributing to both legal policy and public administration.

As Chairman of the Korean Legal Studies Association, he plays a key role in advancing legal scholarship in Korea. Under his leadership, the association publishes the academic journal Legal Studies Review, addressing pressing legal and policy issues and fostering research that informs national legislative and judicial policies.
